About Me
I’m Alex Goldenberg, a portrait and fashion photographer based in Valencia, Spain, with over fifteen years of experience working across personal, editorial and commissioned projects.
My work focuses on presence, attitude and identity, using real environments to create images that feel honest, intentional and grounded. I’m less interested in perfection and more drawn to authenticity to moments that feel lived rather than constructed.
Photography, for me, is a way of translating how someone inhabits a space, a mood or a moment. Every project starts with understanding the person behind the image and building from there.
How I shoot
I approach each project as a collaborative process rather than a rigid setup. Sessions are guided, calm and intuitive, allowing space for natural expressions, pauses and movement to emerge.
I prefer working with natural light because it preserves a strong sense of realism and atmosphere. It helps images feel connected to the place and the moment, rather than overly controlled or artificial.
Most people don’t arrive knowing how to pose and that’s perfectly fine. My role is to create an environment where you can feel comfortable, present and confident, letting the images unfold naturally.
My artistic Journey
My relationship with photography has evolved over time. What started as an interest in images gradually became a way of understanding people, spaces and identity.
Over the years, my work has shifted towards simplicity and intention; removing what feels unnecessary and focusing on presence, gesture and context. The camera became less about control and more about observation.
This journey continues to shape how I work today: prioritising honesty over spectacle and connection over performance.
My hobbies
Outside photography, I enjoy cycling, exploring coffee culture, attending live music concerts and traveling whenever possible. These interests keep me curious, grounded and attentive; qualities that naturally find their way into my work.
